Hello! I'm Suzanne the founder of this little shop. You can probably tell why I named this shop The Ginger Jungle now! With my Ginger locks and the love of plants, I couldn't have picked a more personal name. I founded The Ginger Jungle back in 2017 from my kitchen table and over the last few years I have worked incredibly hard to build a beautiful business that I am incredibly proud of. I now operate, mostly by myself which has enable me to continue to grow. I have a great support network surrounding me with my goal to build a small team of plant loving people that will continue to grow with us.

We are looking for a general assistant.
Pay: £9.50 per hour
Time: 1 day a week for a minimum of 6 hours.
Day: Ideally every Thursday from 11:00-14:00 - Once fully trained your work day could be more flexible.

Your daily role will involve:

Preparing plants for their delivery - to ensure our houseplants are in perfect condition for our customers.

Preparing packaging/boxes for the week ahead

Collecting stock from the warehouse, following effective stock rotation management, and replenishing stock as required.

Watering and caring for our houseplants
-
Recycling our waste
-
And giving MORE love and care to our Houseplants.
What are we looking for?
• Knowledge of houseplants or horticulture is preferable or just a keen love for things green.
• Shows the ability to work at pace and under pressure.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as self-motivated.
• Good communication skills and common sense.
