Alocasia wentii...The Alocasia wentii is a very easy houseplant (unlike his fussy sister the Alocasia polly) and they can grow really big in the right conditions. On top, his leaves are a beautiful dark green colour that has a slight metallic shine to them the underneath of this Alocasia is dark and purple.
Care: A bright position would be ideal, but he will also thrive in medium light. Keep the soil moist and water once the top 2/3cm drys slightly. Give your Aloicasia a little spin occasionally so he continues to grow straight upwards.
Size: Pot Diameter 12cm - Total height is approximately 50cm
Toxicity: YES the Alocasia family (Araceae) are toxic to humans and pets.
Difficulty: So Easy
Feeding: General, the majority of houseplants should be fed every 2nd watering during the growing season (Spring and Summer), for me, it's about every 14 days. In autumn and winter, I feed less, as indoor plants will require fewer nutrients.
