Alpinia zerumbet variegata "variegated shell ginger...This is a lovely plant, I only have one available. She is a little diva so you will have to get used to her need to make this one happy.
Care: These need to be kept evenly moist at all times otherwise the edges of the leaves will brown if the soil dries out. She will also need high humidity to continue looking stunning, mist daily and place her on a tray of moist pebbles or even better next to a humidifier or a warm bathroom. She can tolerate a wide range of light conditions but would prefer bright light including some sun.
Size: Pot Diameter 21cm - Total height is approximate 76cm
Difficulty: Diva! Tricky one but worth it!
Air-purifying: Yes, we are great air-purifyers.
Feeding: General, the majority of houseplants should be fed every 2nd watering during the growing season (Spring and Summer), for me, it's about which every 14 days. In autumn and winter, I feed less, as indoor plants will require fewer nutrients.
