Costus arabicus ‘Variegated - Variegated Spiral Ginger...This Spiraling Ginger is extremely attractive and very rarely offered, we only have very limited numbers! As the plant matures the variegated leaves arranged in an elegant and showy spiral formation around the stem. This variegated ginger rarely flowers but it is known to produce 1-1/2" white, pink, and yellow flowers that emerge from cone-like clusters at the ends of mature stems in summer months. She will require warmth and feeding (just like me) to get it to a flowering stage.
Care: Place her somewhere where she will receive bright to indirect sunlight, and keep the soil moist at all time but not soggy. Ginger's are thirsty drinkers. She will benefit from being placed in a warm humid environment, such as a bathroom or kitchen or near a humidifier.
Size: Pot Diameter 15cm - Total Plant height approximately 27-40cm
Toxicity: Considered poisonous. Keep away from children and animals.
Feeding: General, the majority of houseplants should be fed every 2nd watering during the growing season (Spring and Summer), for me, it's about which every 14 days. In autumn and winter, I feed less, as indoor plants will require fewer nutrients.
