Offshore Delivery DPD now charges us extra for any island which is in the UK such as Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scilly Islands, and the Scottish Highlands and Islands. If you decide to order we will contact about the extra shipping costs. Due to new Brexit regulations we are not currently delivering to Northern Ireland.

My plant has arrive to me with transport damaged. What shall I do?

We take every effort to ensure that all our plants are delivered in perfect condition and in the best packaging. However, things can sometimes go wrong and we will do our best to sort it for you. Contact us on the day of delivery regarding shipment damage or any other concerns. Click on the chatbox to chat to message us live or fill in the contact form on the home page or you can send an email to suzanne@thegingerjungle.com Please keep all the packaging as we will only accept returns in the same box as this keeps the plant nice and safe on its way back to us. We will assist you in repacking your plants. Although it is a rarity, we are happy to replace or offer store credit if very badly damaged in transport. This would include, snapped stems & heat/cold damaged. The loss of an odd leaf or flower head in transport on a healthy plant should not generally be cause for any concern. Although we know this can be upsetting. We cannot give a refund for snapped leaves due to plants being perishable items. But please message us as soon as you can as we will sort this for you.

Will I need to re-pot my plants, when they arrive?

As a general rule, it is usually best not to report plants for a few weeks (if needed) whilst they are acclimatizing to thier new home. If any plants has been repotted or cutting has been taken we are then not able to accept returns.

Other FAQ

Will my plant look like the ones pictured?

All images are our own are updated regularly, we do not use stock images. As plants can vary from batch to batch it's important to us to make sure we keep our photographs updated regularly. In some cases, you may get the plant that is actually pictured. Please note that we try to portray a true depiction of each product, however, plants will differentiate and won't always look like the one photographed. It is inevitable that sizes will vary, as well as a difference in shape and color. We take extra care in choosing the best specimens and photographs are regularly updated in accordance with new stock.

Will my plant come with a pot?

All plants come in their plastic or coco coir nursery pots they have been grown in. The ceramic pots can be brought seperatly.

The Ginger Jungle sustainable Shipping Practice

What is The Ginger Jungle sustainable shipping practice?

We have introduced our new Green and Sustainable Shipping Practice. As The Ginger Jungle continues to grow, we as a small business are doing our bit in becoming more sustainable for future generations and of course our lovely planet! We also need to make sure as a business we're running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. To do this we need to make a few positive changes. So I would like to share with you our new Green and Sustainable Shipping Practices and why this is important.

We have introduced a minimum order value of £25.00 and reduced our free shipping option from £100 to £75.00

Minimizing small orders means we can actually use less packaging which is far better for the environment, keeps your plants safer during transit and help us run efficiently. This also helps our couriers run more effectively making fewer stops.

Just another step to becoming more sustainable.

Delivery in CO2 natural vans

Our main couriers are Dpd and all our deliveries are delivered in C02 natural vans. Dpd does this by measuring their CO2 emissions, by striving to reduce them and offsetting the remaining emissions.

Eco-Friendly materials we have introduced.

Boxes We now use serval different sizes of boxes. This means we can continue to pack your plants effectively as possible by doing this we have reduced the amount of packaging we use without compromising your plants. All our boxes are also FSC-certified products. Packaging Filler - We have introduced Biodegradeable starch packing peanuts. Made from GM free starch that is 100% biodegradable, compostable, reusable and recyclable. Newspapers offcuts - Newspapers offcuts are recycled as well as recyclable. Newspaper offcuts are a good eco-friendly packaging solution and for us, they work the best at keeping your plants snug and safe. Tapes When we can we use gummed paper tape this is an environmentally friendly alternative to standard packing tape. Gummed paper tape is an adhesive tape made from natural resources such as paper or potato starch. It has a natural glue adhesive that becomes sticky when moistened upon application, meaning it’s fully recyclable. We also use a manual tape dispenser which means we are not using electricity. We do still use standard packing tape although we are making a conscious decision to cut this out. Print Labels Using Thermal Printers Direct thermal labels are a more environmentally-friendly label choice since you’re not using ink, which leaves you with one fewer non-recyclable waste product. Warehouse waste We will be shortly introducing recycled materials that would normally just go to waste from our warehouse. Some of you may have seen this already. All cardboard from the warehouse is sorted and recycled in our recycling compactors & plastic balers. As a lover of all things green we are determined to become the best sustainable company we can and will continue to do so. As the future of our planet depends on the sustainable work we do today.
